The 2027 Consent to Serve Application is now open. The deadline to submit an application is June 30th. Please read the eligibility requirements before submitting a request. All applicants will be interviewed by the Leadership Development committee and then a slate will be formed and voted on via electronic voting. Interviews will be conducted in early July.
Eligibility Requirements to Serve on the Board
-Member in good standing for (2) consecutive years as a full-time agent/broker & BER MLS subscriber
-Served on at least 1 association committee/workgroup
-Leadership Academy Graduate (encouraged)
-Have chaired one association committee (encouraged)
-Completed the Code of Ethics requirements
-No outstanding financial obligations to the association
-BER MLS subscriber is highly recommended
-Must not have stepped down/been removed from the board within the last 2 years
-Must not have termed off of the board within the last year
-Officers must be actively serving on a Florida Realtors committee. Directors are strongly encouraged to serve on a Florida Realtors committee.
Eligibility Requirements to Chair a Committee/Workgroup
-Been an active participant on the committee/workgroup of choice for one year or more
-Have a clear understanding of the purpose and mission of that committee
Eligibility Requirements to be a Florida Realtors Voting Director
Criteria includes 1) a graduate of BER leadership academy or current/past BOD member, 2) serving on FR committee for that year, 3) actively serving on BER committee/workgroup, 4) RPAC Major Investor highly encouraged, 5) or equivalent experience.
Voting directors will attend Florida Realtors Board of Directors meetings in January and August. The board will cover lodging expenses and the registration fee. In the absence of a vetted candidate, the position will default to the board Treasurer and/or Secretary
