Maybe the most suspense-filled time in a realtor’s life, and it all hinges on how one reads the INSPECTION REPORT! OK…maybe that is a bit dramatic. However, often times the successful closing of a residential purchase and sale does come down to the reading and interpretation of an inspection report. Inspection reports are not always made up of black and white statements describing defects and non-defects. Frankly, they usually contain shades of gray and vague descriptions of “safety hazards” and statements like “more investigation needed”.
